Apoorva Gupta is a Research Fellow at Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace, Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. She graduated with an Honors degree in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. She holds a Masters’ degree in Postcolonial Studies from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and a postgraduate diploma in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding from the University of Delhi.
Having been a World Youth Service & Enterprise Fellow, she has also worked on a Supreme Court of India mandated research project ‘Psychosocial Study of Ragging in Educational Institutions in India’. She was part of the founding Projects Team of Ashoka University and worked with the departments of Outreach and Communications and as a Senior Manager, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. She was a Knowledge Mission Fellow with the Department of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and worked to improve research and development in State Universities. She has inter-disciplinary research interests in the fields of education, policy, literature, gender studies and peacebuilding.
