WISCOMP, in collaboration with the India International Centre and the Raza Foundation, hosted a special multilogue performance titled Beyond Grace: Journey on Dance, Peace, Voice and Womanhood by internationally acclaimed Mohiniyattam dancer Vijayalakshmi at the CD Deshmukh Auditorium, New Delhi. The performance offered a powerful and deeply reflective exploration of voice, healing, and agency through the language of movement, unfolding against the backdrop of escalating conflict and disruption that shape today’s world and permeate our daily screens. Rooted in feminine consciousness in both form and spirit, Vijayalakshmi’s work traced an intimate journey where dance becomes a medium of resistance, renewal, and reimagining. Through evocative choreography and storytelling, she re-scripted the anthems of a more inclusive and peaceful world, inviting the audience to witness the intersections of art, empathy, and transformation. The evening held space not only for artistic expression but also for collective reflection on the possibilities of peace and the resilience embodied in womanhood.
