On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, WISCOMP convened an online circle of poetry, reflection, and shared intention. Held in the spirit of listening deeply amidst the turbulence of our times, the gathering brought together a small group of kindred voices who came willing to reflect on peace, coexistence, and the quiet labour of hope. The space opened with an invitation for participants to share verses – personal lines, cherished poems, or fragments of thought – that spoke to the fragile yet resilient possibilities of living in harmony. Over the course of the session, poetry became both a bridge and a refuge: voices carried across borders, memories were exchanged, and participants reflected on the power of pauses, vulnerability, and the tender act of coming together. Themes of resilience, belonging, and the courage to imagine peace beyond visible divides emerged through the shared offerings. The event concluded with a quiet sense of gratitude, as participants held space for one another and affirmed their shared commitment to cultivating everyday practices of coexistence.
