Book Details
The publication shares the findings of a research evaluation that WISCOMP undertook of its decade-long Conflict Transformation Program (2001-2012). The Program brought together 400 youth leaders, primarily from India and Pakistan, for dialogue-cum-trainings in peacebuilding. The cornerstone of the Program was the weeklong Annual Conflict Transformation Workshop, which provided a space for young Indians and Pakistanis aged 20 to 35 years to meet, learn, train and build relationships of trust. Some of the workshops also included participants from other South Asian countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The experiences of the workshop participants are presented in this publication, as well as the authors' experiences of facilitating the cross-border meetings, against the background of theories of change. It concludes with the overall evaluation of the program, challenges, lessons learned and suggestions for future initiatives.
