Book Details
The study brings to light the actions taken by both state and non-state actors to provide economic, social and psychological assistance to those who were disabled in the Sri Lankan conflict. Disability has become a challenging task for the state agenicies to provide assistance for. The challenges arise from the existing socio-cultural norms and the hindrances they place on the affected persons from living a better life. Of particular importance is the psychological impact of disability on Sri Lankan soldiers, and the socio-economic changes women affected with disability experience.
