Book Details
Even as the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir has entered a new phase with low levels of political violence and military intervention, the concurrent peace building and democratization processes have failed to address women's rights as integral to the larger human rights discourse. Violence against women within homes in particular has rarely been debated with any seriousness. WISCOMP initiated a series of workshops on domestic violence to apprise women at the grassroots on questions around women's rights, violence against women, and highlight linkages between private and public, cultural and political violence. This publication documents the proceedings of one of the workshops from the series.
