Book Details
Engendering Education: Learnings from a Whole School Immersion Program (2015) is a report of proceedings of WISCOMP?s interventions with students, teachers and parents to initiate the process of deconstruction of gender and to cultivate skills to negotiate power relations between men and women, at the Bluebells School International, New Delhi in 2015. Compiled by Aanchal Kapur, the report is divided in four sections. The first three sections of the report document the workshop processes, the inputs and participant discussions, along with the learnings and takeaways of the three workshops: Hum Saksham Shikshak (We Empowered Educators); Hum Jagruk Yuva (We Vigilant Youth) and Hum Samvedansheel Parivar aur Samaj (We Sensitive Families and Societies: A Workshop for Parents). The last section includes a critical analysis of the impact of the Whole School Immersion Program, and reflects the excitement of attitudinal shifts among leaners.
